CatalogSignal AI processes your store domain, product content and image references, app session credentials, brand preferences, AI suggestions, search previews, subscription status, usage and change history. Shopify may also provide administrator account details with an app session. The app does not request access to customer records, orders or payment card details.

How information is used

We use this information to connect to your store, check catalog content, generate drafts, apply changes you approve, enforce plan allowances and investigate errors. Shopify processes app subscription approvals and billing. Operational logs help us maintain the service.

AI processing

When you request suggestions or search explanations, necessary product facts, preferences and the search phrase are sent to Doubao through Volcengine Ark. The configured AI endpoint is in Beijing, China. App session credentials are not included in AI prompts. Do not put personal or confidential information in product content, search phrases or brand settings. Review AI output for accuracy before approving an update.

Service providers and processing locations

The application and PostgreSQL database are hosted by DigitalOcean in New York, United States. Shopify provides the platform, authentication, product APIs and app billing. Volcengine Ark provides AI processing. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country.

Storage and deletion

Installing the app stores session credentials for authorized API calls. When the app receives Shopify’s uninstall event, it disables store tasks and removes session credentials. Shopify’s subsequent shop/redact event deletes the remaining store records from the application database. Customer privacy events are acknowledged without storing customer identifiers because the app does not collect customer records.

Plan-based history retention is 30, 180 or 365 days, applied while the installed store has a verified subscription. Pending or uncertain operations are retained for investigation. Current product snapshots remain until replaced or the store is deleted. Service-provider operational records are subject to the providers’ own retention processes; the app’s database deletion does not delete Shopify’s billing records.
